Legal thinking: the intersections of dogmatics and practice

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Szeged will host the 1st International Legal Conference for Doctoral Students online on the 31st of October, 2025 with the following topic: Legal thinking: the intersections of dogmatics and practice. The deadline for the application is 20th of October, 2025.

Along with the application, applicants should submit an abstract in English of 500 to 1200 characters (including spaces). The programme will be sent out at least 5 days prior to the Conference. The attendance of the Conference is free, there is no participation fee. The Conference will be held online. The 15 min. presentation can be held either in Hungarian or in English.


The presentation can be held in the following Scientific sections:

  • Legal Theory, Comparative Law
  • Private law (incl.: Procedural Law, Family Law, Company Law, etc.)
  • Criminal law (incl.: Enforcement and Procedural law)
  • Public law (incl.: Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, International law, EU law,
  • Information technology (IT) Law


The best presentations in each section will be awarded 1st to 3rd place.
