A Record Number of International Students Start their Studies at SZTE this Year
More than 1,200 international students have been admitted to the University of Szeged this year. Students from more than 130 countries are currently studying at the university, making it a uniquely diverse student community. The Orientation Days programme series, organised by the Directorate for International Affairs and Public Relations of SZTE, helps newly arrived students to integrate.

The University of Szeged has renewed its cooperation with China’s top law university
An expanded cooperation agreement, signed on 13 June 2023 in Szeged by the representatives of the University of Szeged and the East China University of Political Science and Law, opens up new dimensions in legal education and research in Szeged. The University of Szeged will cooperate with the internationally prestigious Shanghai-based University in the field of education and research, and plans are also underway for faculty and student exchange programs.

SZTE is the only Hungarian university to be the host of Indonesian IISMA students
In autumn 2023, 39 Indonesian students from 19 universities will study at SZTE. The students are funded by the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards. According to surveys measuring the effectiveness of the programme, 100% of participating students would recommend the University of Szeged to their peers.

Student report on the field trip to Vienna
The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged, in collaboration with the Institute of International and Regional Studies, organized a field trip to Vienna on March 22-24, 2023. Dániel Bense, an International Relations student prepared a report on the trip.

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged marked its 150th anniversary in the academic year 2022/23, with a commemorative celebration on March 31, under the headline “In service of Hungarian legal education for 150 years."
