Chinese_delegation_at_the_Faculty_of_Law

An expanded cooperation agreement, signed on 13 June 2023 in Szeged by the representatives of the University of Szeged and the East China University of Political Science and Law, opens up new dimensions in legal education and research in Szeged. The University of Szeged will cooperate with the internationally prestigious Shanghai-based University in the field of education and research, and plans are also underway for faculty and student exchange programs.

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged marked its 150th anniversary in the academic year 2022/23, with a commemorative celebration on March 31, under the headline “In service of Hungarian legal education for 150 years."

Her Excellency Ms Claire Legras, France’s Ambassador to Hungary, delivered a French lecture on “Europe and defense one year after the invasion of Ukraine” in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, which has been going on little over a year. The event was held on February 23, at the invitation of the University of Szeged’s Francophone University Centre, in collaboration with the International and Regional Studies Institute.

Pavlo Burdiak is a second-year Ukrainian PhD student at the University of Szeged Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. He participated in the SZTE-PREZILIMPIA presentation competition and took 2nd place in the national final. The theme of this year`s competition was “Schools with long history, 21st century education”, and Mr. Burdiak delivered a presentation titled “Online education: an opportunity or a challenge?
