Questioning the “Never Again”
The Holocaust and mass atrocities: comparing to single out
Cluj-Napoca | April 23–25, 2026

The program will bring together 20 students from Szeged and 20 students from Cluj-Napoca for a three-day seminar dedicated to two main themes:

• Mass atrocities, with a particular focus on the Holocaust

• Hungarian–Romanian relations

The seminar will include lectures, interactive workshops, and site visits. For detailed information, please consult the program.

Participation

Participation is free of charge. The organizers will provide two lunches and two dinners during the seminar.

Applications are open to second- and third-year undergraduate students, Master’s (MSc) students, and Doctoral (PhD) students.

At the end of the seminar, participants will receive a certificate of completion and a proof of attendance. Prior to the seminar, and if required, the organizers can provide an official letter confirming participation.

Follow-Up Session

One to three months after the seminar, participants will be invited to attend a two-hour online follow-up meeting to discuss outcomes and address any remaining questions. The date of this session will be communicated during the seminar.
